Improving Teacher Programme

Course Location: Various schools in Bracknell Forest
Fees: £600 FLA members (£660 non-FLA members)

 

The Improving Teacher Programme (ITP)  equips delegates with a range of good teaching and learning techniques as well as developing their skills and the opportunity to apply these in school. 

This is a nationally recognized programme, developed by Olevi, which will be facilitated by outstanding

practitioners from Forest Learning Alliance who have completed the Outstanding Facilitator Programme.  Candidates who participate in the programme must have a commitment to continuing their professional development, and have the potential to achieve ‘Good’.

THE PROGRAMME: 

Comprises of three full day sessions over the course of a half term.  Teachers will work in triads to support development and will be supported by a mentor in their own school. 

Units will include observations of practice in an outstanding school, and be focused on:

  • CHALLENGE AND ENGAGEMENT
  • EFFECTIVE LESSON STRUCTURES
  • ASSESSMENT               
  • QUESTIONING
  • DIFFERENTIATION
  • CULMINATION AND CELEBRATION OF TEACHING
